I’ve recently joined Queen’s University as assistant professor of Sociology. You can see my faculty profile here.

I obtained my Bachelor of Arts in Women and Gender Studies, with a certificate in Sexualities Studies, from York University.

I later received my Master of Arts from the Women and Gender Studies Institute at the University of Toronto. During this time, I acquired expertise in postcolonial and critical race theory. Through my affiliation with the department of Near and Middle Eastern Civilizations, I also undertook training in Iranian Studies.

I received my Ph.D. in Sociology from McGill University. I used my time at McGill to acquire qualifications in the areas of Political Sociology, Comparative Historical Methods, and Social Movements with a specialization in the Middle East and North Africa.
